Dear reader,
Spring has finally arrived here, and I made a postcard to share with you.
How are you?
I had an experience a few weeks ago that I haven’t had in a minute. I eagerly awaited a few parcels of mail. Yep, that’s it. Sounds wild. But I can’t remember the last time I felt such joy when something arrived. Packaged so neatly in the envelope. Immersing me in the texture of the papers. It was bliss.
I can’t decide how I feel about articles on articles about how bad screen time is, how humans are getting dumber, and the threats of doomscrolling. I personally feel attacked by my phone. I am so attuned to its dopamine hits. And can get swept up in remembering that feeling exists in other places.
It’s spring (or fall, depending on where you are). The weather is glorious. And getting a few delights in the mail truly hits. It also reaffirmed my obsession with print media.
I am walking towards a dream project I’ve been thinking about for a long time. I’ve been scared to bring it to life. Timing is never right. And yet, it’s always right. This project will delight people craving more tactile inspiration. Breathe a new life form into these bi-weekly letters. I know you’ll love it.
Until then,
Lauren

Good luck with your project, Lauren! I'm feeling much of the same right now. So aware of this blasted screen and spending less and less time in front of it.
Yesterday, I stopped in my tracks when I saw that the Willow next to my patio had just begun to bud. I almost burst into tears; she's so beautiful at every stage. All winter long, the Chickadees have used her as a resting station before flying off to the feeder. Soon she will be the most beautiful variegated Pink. I cannot wait. I'm trying to enjoy spring before the black flies and ticks appear. :( Happy Spring!
