Love this. Beautiful work, Lauren. You're inspiring me to get creating again. Not that writing isn't creating, but I've declared myself an artist since age 4 and I haven't made any art in a few years. Need to get cracking... xo
:) I still love crayons. I used mostly oils for years until my body said no more. I've never liked acrylics much but have tried working with them. Gouache, watercolor, house paint. I love to work large but feel like I need to change that up. Now all I need to do is get the mice out of the barn so I can get painting again! Thx for the inspiration, Lauren.
Lauren, I enjoy the questions that you ask yourself as you wrestle with challenges. It helps me to see how you work and to gain a better understanding of your art.
I look forward to seeing the results and more of your process.
Thank you! This was the first post in a new section on my Substack called "in studio." I plan to show more of what I am currently working on. It will be more photo heavy than writing. I have some new work that's unfolding that I am very excited about. I always appreciate you reading, Amber!

I’d love to know what types of art and mediums you worked in. I’m sure you’ve worked in so many mediums beginning at age 4!
