As always, such an insightful episode—to answer your question, I feel that right now, and more than ever, I’m pulling inspiration from the natural world. From the blooming trees and smell of spring rain and the way I move alongside it all. On the same side of that coin, I’m also finding inspiration in what it means to be part of community. Part of something bigger than yourself <33
I’m so glad you mentioned the smell of spring rain. We’ve had so much rain this spring where I live that it’s been so challenging for me to feel much of anything. Remembering the beauty of rain is really refreshing. Where do you feel like you find the most connection to a community?
Having grown up in the heart of the Pacific Northwest’s relentless seasons of rain, especially this time of year, I completely understand (maybe I’m just feeling especially nostalgic for it!) And oh gosh, there’s something so rewarding in the slow burn of building something out, conversation by conversation. The nurturing on what is right in front of you and what you care most about, that’s my favorite.
My source of inspiration recently:
Weathering by Ruth Allen
How the earths deep wisdom can help us endure life’s storms.
I love the natural world and what it has to offer me in understanding myself.
I’ll have to look this book up, I haven’t heard of it. It sounds beautiful! Thanks for sharing, Amber!
